Hello welcome to my blog. in writing and reading we have been learning about habitats, We have been watching videos about habitats and writing down words we don’t understand. A habitat is where all wild animals hibernate during winter. There are lots of different habitats, there is wetlands, oceans, Iceland’s, grasslands, forests and jungles etc.

Kia ora, welcome back to my blog. Over the past few weeks, we have been planning a minecraft world. On the minecraft world we had to include stuff that we are able to live on. I used mountains, caves, waterfalls, ponds, rivers and farms. The animals I put on my farm were, cows, chickens, horses, pigs, sheep, wolfs, foxes, cats, bunnies and frogs.

Kia ora, welcome to my blog. Over the past few days, we have been reading a book named “MeMe” it is about a girl named Nina. Nina gets a phone because most of the kids in her class have one. She finds a girl named MeMe who looks exactly alike to Nina, MeMe is nice at the start then she starts bullying Nina. We had to do pros and cons about the book, we had to use words the author used in the story. Pros are the good things about phones and cons are the bad things about phones.

Over the last two days in reading I learnt about rocks, we had to choose 5 rocks and write about them then do questions, the rocks I did were: Rock salt, lapis Luigi, Verdite, slate and diatomite. Something I really enjoyed about, was: researching the rocks, and writing the questions.

Kia ora, this week in literacy we did writing task boards. We had to choose out of 3 task boards to do then finish it. I chose to do a task in which you write a letter to your future self. We had to write information about our self, your age, your current self and your future hopes and dreams for your future self.

Kia ora, over the past few days, we have been working on reading task boards. I chose to do the roller coaster with Jules, we decided that we will do it on minecraft and call it cotton candy tower. For the create we had to do 5 questions and take screenshots of the roller coaster.

Kia ora, last week in maths we did algebra. We had to create a pattern and make a rule. My rule was add 4 each time. We grew it every time. I started with 5 squares and added 4 each time. Once we were finished with the patterns we had a table in the corner and wrote the position number and the amount of blocks.

For the last four weeks of Term 3 we were learning about ‘How we can be Champions on Peace’. 

 

Firstly we learnt about the different symbols of peace. Peace, Dove, Ying Yang, V Symbol and the Olive tree.With these symbols in mind I created a Peace Artwork. My Peace Artwork represents peace because it has a Dove carrying a anchor.

We also researched some real life champions of peace and wrote a short biography. I wrote about Kate Sheppard. I thought this person was a champion of peace because she fought for women’s rights to vote.

 

We also created a peace prayer book. I have attached my peace prayer book here.
